I am making a website in my Web Design Class. So far, I have made the layout in Photoshop and I have successfully imported everything into Dreamweaver to make it a template for my website. Here is my problem:
In the middle of that website layout, I want to have it be the spot where text is able to be added. I think it is called an “editable region,” but I tried that, and I cant place the editable region in the exact spot that I want it in. It just stays at the top left corner, unmovable. Can someone please explain to me how I can make the area that forms the green outlined rectangle(those green lines are guides) into an editable region? Thanks in advance.
Ok its simple on why this is happening.
Editable tags looks something like this in dreamweaver
<---Editable beginning-->
<--Editable ending--->
Your problem is when applying an editable region it has to be based on whats in between you need either a
tag or
or . If I am not mistaken you exported out of photoshop a table sliced with images well then if the center (where the green guide lines make the square) is a
or what is a a cell (jeopardy like answer there) click on the entire tag then insert to editable region should work. If that doesn’t work highlight in the code area should do it.
