Tip for Traveling Photographers: A Hassle-free Way to Easily Access and Share Vacation Photos

One travel essential, besides your passport and toothbrush, is a camera. Capturing photographs of your vacation destination is a must for every traveler—to save precious memories and to share them with friends, family and colleagues.

As a seasoned travel consultant, Nanci Browning has traveled extensively by land, air and by sea.  She has taken thousands of photographs of every place she has been and she shares her photos with friends, family and colleagues. Because she can click photos faster than she can blink, it doesn’t take much time until memory capacity is met on her digital device.

Browning has reviewed other remote access and file sharing services and she recommends HomePipe. HomePipe’s remote access and file sharing is fast, easy and flexible—available anytime, from anywhere with an Internet or broadband-connection. She saves high resolution photos to her home computer, thereby avoiding uploading and organizing files when you return home. Once she saves the photos to her home computer, she can then share the same high resolution photos with friends, family and colleagues rather than emailing lower quality photos.

HomePipe offers different plans and pricing; however, Browning recommends the HomePipe Lite Edition. “It’s great for the occasional traveler and best of all, it’s free,” says Browning.

As you ready for your next adventure, take it from Nanci Browning, avoid memory card overload by setting up your HomePipe account in advance.

  1. Simply register and activate a HomePipe account at www.homepipe.net/sign_up.html.
  2. Download the HomePipe app to your mobile device (Apple® iPhone®, Google® Android or Windows® Phone 7) from your favorite app store.
  3. Go on vacation.
    • From your smartphone, access your home computer with HomePipe. Create a folder and save your photos onto your home computer. It takes seconds. That’s it.
    • Or login to HomePipe from any Web browser. Create a folder and transfer your photos from the memory card onto your home computer.
    • Repeat as necessary!

Browning uses HomePipe and recommends it to friends, family and clients (also called Shares in HomePipe).

“My Shares use it to instantly access and view my photos when I’m traveling,” says Browning. ”HomePipe also offers the Cooliris photo display feature so my Shares can view my albums with a click—in the brilliance only high resolution can offer!”

“Now I enjoy my travel time and I never worry about maxing out memory on my camera or smartphone,” continues Browning. “I use HomePipe and I share it with my clients as a travel tip.”

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Global Login System is a single signon open source protocol, designed to allow any user logged in on his or her account to one of the sites using it, to be authenticated when visiting any other site using it. It aims to be used universally over the Internet, so that each user only needs to have one account with login and password on one designated home site, in order to access anything and operate anywhere on the web that s/he is allowed to. Its difference from other single signon systems is that there is no central database of users, so that this system can scale indefinitely by allowing every site of the network to have a separate (hidden) list of users. Google Hacking for Penetration Testers

Google Hacking for Penetration Testers

$44.95

Google, the most popular search engine worldwide, provides web surfers with an easy-to-use guide to the Internet, with web and image searches, language translation, and a range of features that make web navigation simple enough for even the novice user. What many users don’t realize is that the deceptively simple components that make Google so easy to use are the same features that generously unlock security flaws for the malicious hacker. Vulnerabilities in website security can be discovered through Google hacking, techniques applied to the search engine by computer criminals, identity thieves, and even terrorists to uncover secure information. This book beats Google hackers to the punch, equipping web administrators with penetration testing applications to ensure their site is invulnerable to a hacker’s search. Penetration Testing with Google Hacks explores the explosive growth of a technique known as “Google Hacking.” When the modern security landscape includes such heady topics as “blind SQL injection” and “integer overflows,” it’s refreshing to see such a deceptively simple tool bent to achieve such amazing results; this is hacking in the purest sense of the word. Readers will learn how to torque Google to detect SQL injection points and login portals, execute port scans and CGI scans, fingerprint web servers, locate incredible information caches such as firewall and IDS logs, password databases, SQL dumps and much more – all without sending a single packet to the target! Borrowing the techniques pioneered by malicious “Google hackers,” this talk aims to show security practitioners how to properly protect clients from this often overlooked and dangerous form of information leakage. *First book about Google targeting IT professionals and security leaks through web browsing. *Author Johnny Long, the authority on Google hacking, will be speaking about “Google Hacking” at the Black Hat 2004 Briefing. His presentation on penetrating security flaws with Google is expected to create a lot of buzz and exposure for the topic. *Johnny Long’s Web site hosts the largest repository of Google security exposures and is the most popular destination for security professionals who want to learn about the dark side of Google.

The open source, lightweight Google Web Toolkit (GWT) is a framework that allows Java developers to build Rich Internet Applications (RIA), more recently called Ajax applications, in Java. Typically, writing these applications requires a lot of JavaScript development. However, Java and JavaScript are very distinctively different languages (although the name suggests otherwise), therefore requiring a different development process. In Beginning Google Web Toolkit: From Novice to Professional, you ll learn to build rich, user friendly web applications using a popular Java based Ajax web framework, the Google Web Toolkit. The authors will guide you through the complete development of a GWT front end application with a no nonsense, down to earth approach. You ll start with the first steps of working with GWT and learn to understand the concepts and consequences of building this kind of application. During the course of the book, all the key aspects of GWT are tackled pragmatically, as you re using them to build a real world sample application.Unlike many other books, the inner workings of GWT and other unnecessary details are shelved, so you can focus on the stuff that really matters when developing GWT applications.
