Did you become the latest victim?
Several days ago I was chatting via Yahoo IM with my friends. An off line message from one of my friends asked if I wanted to see their vacation photos. I’d clicked on the web link and it brought me to a Yahoo Album sign-in page. After signing on, no photos were displayed. I’d closed the page and continued to chat with my friends via IM.
Sometime later, I’d recieved a email alert with the headline “Yahoo…password change completed, etc.” Needless to say, I was shocked to see this email and tried to open my mailbox. To my surprise my password has changed and all access to my mailbox, IM and 360 page is locked out. I’ve contacted Yahoo via email and phone. The response has been a automated response to check my account information, but I can’t verify this because all that information hase been changed. When you call they tell you via automated message “all free service must go through the web for tech support.
Is there anyone out there that can help me?
You CAN get your password back through Yahoo!’s password recovery page. But you’ll have to remember the security information you provided when you started the account.
