With its sensational Super AMOLED screen and 1GHz Hummingbird processor the new Samsung Wave is one of the most advanced smartphones on the market, it boasts a brand new Bada operating system and it is capable of HD video recording. The intuitive TouchWiz 3.0 interface is modelled very well and the screen has been built with capacitive technology which enables multi-touch control. The device is super stylish and 3.3inch screen says it all when it comes to technology.

The ultra slim design compliments the high resolution WVGA screen perfectly and the interface creates a colourful on-screen experience, the handset is aesthetically pleasing to say the least and it oozes style and sophistication. Samsung has managed to create a high performance mobile experience in a modern, professional wrapping. The Samsung designed Bada operating system makes the most of the Waves web capabilities with an online app store. The phone offers up several home screens for you to play with and you can customize your home screens by adding widgets as shortcuts to your most used applications.

Samsung have equipped the Wave with some clever social network facilities; the phone integrates your phonebook and social networks together so your contacts are updated with there latest tweets and status updates, all of your social network accounts can be fully managed and interaction via messaging, tweeting and updating can be made with all you friends direct from the screen. The Wave has a selection of e-mail and IM clients for you to communicate with, providers such as Gmail, Google Talk, Exchange and Windows Live supply you with an efficient mobile live chat option and online e-mail links as an alternative to standard messaging. The on-screen QWERTY keyboard is well sized and easy to use; the screens built-in accelerometer makes landscape typing possible; generally it helps deliver a much richer messaging experience.

The Samsung Wave utilises high speed web connections from 3G and Wi Fi and it supports a HTML browser, there is support for basic flash media and the Google Search engine can be accessed straight from your home screen. Samsung have allowed multi touch control in the browser, this means you can pinch and zoom web pages and avoid the one finger tapping process. A microUSB port allows for PC synchronization and Bluetooth lets you connect to compatible devices via wireless communications. Samsung have installed a music player to organise your tracks and play them back via your headphones thanks to the 3.5mm jack or the phones built-in speaker 5.1 SRS surround sound system, the interface supports album art and allows for the player to be controlled on-screen from anywhere in the phone.

Though the Wave only has a 5 mega pixel camera it does boast some fantastic photographic facilities; the interface provides easy to handle controls and offers a number of image enhancement and editing tools to create a more intricate experience. Pictures come out as high resolution images with an almost perfect colour contrast ratio, the camera can shoot beautiful HD videos for you to share with online facilities such as YouTube and Facebook and the whole system is accompanied by various focus settings, an LED flash which doubles as a video light and a 4x digital zoom for those all important close ups.

As many may have seen, the Wave has seen alot of media attention thanks to the latest add campaign backed by its creators Samsung, the Super AMOLED screen and extensive application based interface round off a highly technical smartphone device. The fact that the Wave looks so pretty and performs so well proves that Samsung has put a little extra passion and flare into the design of this phone, they have put alot of trust into this device by debuting there in-house OS on it.
