Photo Gallery Info

Is there any javascript that can easily create a dynamic photo gallery for a webpage?

I have next to zero knowledge of web programming but am looking for something that can easily create a photo gallery. Preferably something that I can just drop in to a directory with photos, and then it’s able to generate the page based on those photos along with whatever colors/fonts etc I make for the page style. Is this even possible with javascript? Or would I have to use PHP or some other type of web program? I don’t want to download and install any third party software. However I do have the following programs: Macromedia Dreamweaver 4, Macromedia Flash MX, Photoshop CS3, Picasa2 and Infranview. Would any of those programs be able to help in generating a web gallery of photos?
Dreamweaver 4 has an option to “Create Web Photo Gallery” however it requires Fireworks 4 which I do now own and do not want to use the trial version.
