can I download windows vista or windows 7 onto my mac computer?
I have had an Mac since April, before that I had only basically used windows. I don’t like the Mac and I have since tried selling it but I know I won’t get my money that I spent on it. someone told me I can download windows onto the mac. If I did that would it mess up the Mac in any way. Would I have access to all windows software like Paint and Windows photo gallery and things like that? Could I use the latest version of Microsoft office on it (I had bought iwork for the mac b/c I was told it was compatible with word – its not – or at least its not what I thought)? I am hoping someone with experience doing such a download could answer these questions for me. Also can you tell me any dangers I should be aware of…..Thanks so much.
The other answers are correct but theres a much easier way and you get the best of both worlds.You can run windows virtually inside Virtualbox on a mac,and you will be able to use all functions of windows and also still have your mac intact.If you ever want just the mac all you need to do is uninstall Virtualbox and its all back to how you had it.Virtualbox is free to download and you can obtain demo versions of windows in iso form and burtn to dvd or disc.
