How do I transition from text to images in adobe flash?

I am REALLY BAD at using adobe flash, and I need to know how to make flash gallery. I want it to start with text that you can click, and it goes to images. How would I go about doing this?

You put your text on one frame and have it go to another frame. If your using action script 3 on the fame with the text on it right-click on that text and convert to symbol, make it a button and call it what you want. Then go to the properties and give it the instance name of whatever you want. Next go to the script and type:

your_button.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, gotoimages);
function gotoimages(e:MouseEvent):void {
gotoAndStop(2);
}

the 2 in gotoAndStop(2); is referring to Frame 2 you can change that to what ever frame you want.

where it says your_button you can put whatever your button’s instance name is.

The gotoimages is just the function name you can call it whatever you want as long as both of them are the same name.

the CLICK means that when it’s Clicked (The Text) thats when it does that function.
